I believe it is a regulated industry. Therefore, YES, it is an accurate claim.

as long as is says your obese then its probably working

It says I’m at 19% body fat when I have a 32in waist and I’m 5ft 10in tall. I’m pretty sure thats far off from the 13% I got with calipers. I really wouldn’t take the result as your actual percentage.
